Been making do with a cheap Aldi shortie for messing about in the sea/rivers from late Spring to early Autumn. However, we have just bought a kayak, and may be doing a little bit of OWS earlier/later into the season.

So, I just want something cheap to take the chill off when doing both. Maybe for an hour or so kayaking, and up to 15/2O mins swimming.

What kind of thing do I need, and what can be had for £50-100?

Decathlon or Lomo have decent options at that price point. I have Lomo, can't complain so far, I use it for sea swimming in Cornwall

I was going to suggest Lomo too. Worth buying socks, gloves and hat while you are at it as these are really important when the water is colder.

Wiggle's own brand DHB wetsuits are pretty good VFM - I've got one for triathlons and I'm very happy with it.

I got a DHB swimming one from eBay for about £25 last autumn. It was a wiggle return with a small fault sold by a seller called something like Tri Sport Resort. The usual eBay price often more than double what I payed.
It is a thinish (2-3 mm) swimming wetsuit and is good for swimming but probably not tough enough for surfing or kayaking. Could be worth a look as a quick glance sees them still being sold.

I don't think swimming wetsuits are great for kayaking in. Fragile, tight and a pain to put on/off.

My advice would be get a swimming wetsuit for swimming.

For paddling Lomo neoperene top and Peak neoprene strides. Cag to keep the wind off.

Or maybe cheap Gul wetsuit? https://www.sportsdirect.com/gul-full-wetsuit-mens-888013

Sorry, I trashed your budget.

I definitely wouldn't wear my swimming wetsuit for kayak, SUP etc. Too fragile. Some good options above though.
