I'm planning a coast to coast transit of the Pyrenees next summer with a friend (one of those pub-based good ideas, inspired by the HT550 article last month!). Will probably be mostly on road but with no support. Having never done anything like this before though I wanted to get some advice on what to take (and what not), how to carry it (pannier or trailer?) and how to travel there and back with my kit from the UK? All and any constructive advice gratefully received. Thanks

This The Bike Busis a really good way of getting down there, they pick up at several points in the UK. Book in good time to get the itinerary you want.

You'll need an anvil in case your bike breaks. And a set of railings to chain your bike to at night.

Thanks. Any thoughts on the whole pannier vs trailer topic?
