I have just received a statement relating to a pension i use to pay into at an old job. Needless to say I no longer pay into it and now have my own private pension fund I pay into, calculated to give me a decent pension (supposedly) at my age of retirement.
It is not enough to make of a long term difference and to be honest the money could come in handy for some ambitious plans I have been making.
Any financial gurus out there who could give me some suggestions?

I don't think you can take cash out of a pension, can you?
Why not transfer it to a SIPP and have a play on the stockmarkets?
Maybe 😛
Well that thought was what led me to ask the question wallop

😉
You might be able to take it out if you were only paying in for under 2 years.
Might be worth contacting the company who holds the money and see.
