yo yo yo, got an old laptop that i killed beyond repair by spilling water on the keyboard. as far as i know the rest of it's fine, but it wasn't worth sorting.
anyone know best thing to do with it? not bothered about selling it or anything like that, just disposing of it in an envornmental manner. any thoughts?
Local tip?
take the HDD out & hammer the 'ker first
yeah local tip, sorry, recycling centre.
free cycle, some-one will have it and either repair it or strip it... so maybe remove the hdd first if you worried about the data.
If you're going to remove the hard drive, splash a fiver on one of these and at least be able to get any data off it, before using it as a backup drive.
