Number 1 son has gone to university and taken my soldering iron with him 👿
I can't be bothered to wait for him to return (with) it but I need one now that the bits for my Hope Hid conversion are starting to arrive. What does the STW massive sugest?
BTW- I think that all I need is a simple device, so nothing too niche, too pricey, too dificult to use please. A Trek/ Spesh sort of soldering iron, not a Pugsley/ Nicolai soldering iron!
I use one of these: [url= http://www.maplin.co.uk/50w-solder-station-35016 ]50W solder station[/url]. They discount them quite often. Much prefer it to the usual 30W irons I used to use.
2nd what cgg said. I've got the same one and its powerful when it needs to be and easily adjusted.
I've s cheapy I bought about 12 years ago for about £3. Still working fine but given the amount I use it that's all I've ever needed.
Oh I missed the cheap bit.
I find the standard Antex ones work just fine.
