Driving today, listening to Radio 1 on the car stereo I felt massive nostalgia for music and singing instead of sequencing and vocoding. I nearly forced my car into a lorry during some song about being in the club which was sung by a dalek.
So, what radio stations/progs should I listen to like I did when we had John Peel? Admittedly my ears had to wade through some appalling shite, like Extreme Noise Terror or obscure calypso music. But the gems were worth it. Is there something on the internet now? Or something late night on Radio 1..anything that can rescue me from the old age mutterings of "they don't make it like they used to".
