Afternoon All,
spending more time on the beach so have picked up a shelter to help keep people or belongings out of the sun, but the skinny metal pegs which came with the shelter dont stay in the sand and would prob bend if they saw mud...
A Google search shows me alternative pegs options or bag like things which you would fill with sand and anchor the guide ropes too, can anyone recommend an option they use when pitching shelters on a sandy beach?
Sandbags.
Rocks. Just put them in the corners if it doesn't need the guy-lines for shape.
Sandbags or tie the chords to big stones.
Isn't it a pain having to lug a load of heavy sandbags to the beach?
We have some big wide long plastic ones we got from the USA, they are wide and about 25cm long maybe. They're spot on.
A quick Amazon search for 'sand tent pegs' gives loads of options, the wide alu 34cm long ones look great.

Not if you're concurrently digging an escape tunnel and looking to hide the evidence.
If its a beach shelter, does it not have pockets built in/sewn around the perimeter?
I guess it depends on the type, but our pop up kids one does.
works well enough, unless it gets super windy, but by the time youve put towels and a picnic on the bottom of it, it not going anywhere anyway.
