Just been told by the local electrical repairman that my Bose Sound Dock is broken beyond repair so (not wanting to pay the silly money Bose want to repair it for me) what are options to play an old iPod (no wifi) but also have the flexibility to play newer iPhones (over wifi or plugged in with the new adapter)?
So many options out there that my head is spinning!

A Sonos would do both - it can play via phono or the track on your iphone directly.
Plus many other things!
