Aside from the browing history jokes the site is one frequented heavily by men (as I am sure its designated as active sports etc) and Russian dating ads pay well (my guess).

Hah. Yep, I have a pretty good adblocker (and a P before I get booed) but any time I do get ads, there's always one for hotels in Dolgellau.
It's kind of like the Amazon thing. "Hey, I noticed you bought a bread machine. I bet you'd be really interested in buying 10 more bread machines!"
I just opened in IE, so I'm not logged on and got a massive noisy Bentley ad. Someone knows about my lottery win then...

The whole banner has disappeared for me so someone at STW has done something. Before I had ads for Renault, CRC, Thomann... . I did find it irritating that anyone looking over my shoulder knew which other sites I'd been using that day.
I get a mixture of watches, but more commonly one abut managing my 100K portfolio, or Russina Brides.
