Brilliant as always kayak, but… M? Was it just easier than S? I’d have gone with L myself
Yeah, an M is much easier... 😂
(only joking, she's called Molly)
🤣
I made a big twinkling letter M for the 21st birthday of my niece, Sarah.

Obvious really, it is like the 'personal number plates' that only make sense when you swap letters for numbers and ignore the spacing*
I would have quickly glued some tinfoil, or similar, to it to hide the OSB and make it even more shiney
*Normally the end result says "Dubious Choice"

😳 I love a bit of OSB.
It looks rad when you smooth it up nice and oil it. All the textures and various shades really pop.
Looks industrial innit.
Agree that OSB works in place, as you say - Instro-chic, just not sure it sets off the lights and cheerful present theme well. Not a criticism, just a different perspective
🙂
Love the flower but the base should be OSB 🙂

Ha ha! Thanks, but no way 😀
recently completed a barn conversion, i didnt have much to do with 'making' that, but i did fashion a coffee table out of the barn door...
That flower is lovely, any info on how it's made and with what?

Thank you! 🙂
I didn't take any photos of the work in progress (unusual for me).
The flower petals are 0.5mm thick stainless steel sheet and the stem is 5mm stainless with some blobs of weld & some leaves welded on. Veins on the leaves were embossed with a small chisel.
I cut each layer out with tin-snips and cleaned up the edges with a 'conditioning' disc on the angle grinder - very similar to the method in the video below (there are many others). I turned down and threaded the end of the stem in the lathe though.
There are quite a few templates on line. This looks like the one I used:

Very, very pleased with how it came out - it was originally going to be the trial run.
(Feel free to ask if you want any more info.)
the metal rose is really good.

Thanks, very interesting. You should be pleased with how it came out 🙂
Nothing exciting but a useful dog washing/drying station.
Very nice Mr beanZ 👌

Thanks for the link tot he video and the tenmplates, I am off to find some 0.5mm stainless to make a flower for MrsWCA Christmas pressie
That dog bath really looks the business. Is it you who has the Wheaten Terriers? Can a dog stand in there, guessing the size means the dog can't move around which is what you want?
Also, that rose is gorgeous as is the industrial style table. Clever peeps!
Classy dog salon.
You can get thumb lever heads that screw directly onto showerhead that would save you having the tap running permanently?

It is 🙂

It's just for after walk feet and tummy cleaning,(and dirt riding gear before it goes in the washing machine)the size helps keep them from moving around to much.

Cheers I shall have a Google.
Thanks Cheesy. Out of interest where did your bath comes from?

Amazon,I've seen them on ebay aswell.
Refurbed my old 90's Diamond Back MTB. It was a dark blue (originally in 1990 it was Marbled Grey, but it's been blue for over 20 years, until this week.

@cheesybeanZ lot's of options, this kind of thing. The other benefit is it doesn't end up pointing upward getting you and your surrounds ringing wet.
I can barely get the dog into the bath not sure I'd get her into your table, I was thinking more get one of those disability walk in baths...
Can't you get something like this plumbed into your front path and then just trigger it as your dog walked over.

Lola would get caught out with that once then that would be diverted.
I like the thinking though.
I found a nice piece of wood in the garage while moving stuff around so made this but realised this afternoon that I don't have any felt to line the drawers, the shops are shut tomorrow and no-one needs any more presents right now so i thought I would post the pictures in the current state incase I stick it on a shelf somewhere and never actually finish it.

Found some felt and superglue

Nowhere near the skill level of the above, but I have been tinkering for the last couple of days and have made a coke can stove, pot stand and heat shield for the princely sum of £2.35.

Tonights tea, Tartiflette (aka Posh Cheesy Chips)

Cool can stove 😊👌
Tartiflette
Where's the rest of it?
Christmas dinner a week late thanks to virus stuff.
Sorry I didn't take pics but I am rather proud of the "chinese" dinner I cooked for 7 of us on new years eve so I'm going to post anyway
Starters - prawn crackers ( of course) sesame butterfly prawns, two types of deep- fried wontons ( bought the pastry but made into wonton by me)
Mains - lemon chicken, Beef with ginger spring onion and bamboo shoots, Sweet and sour pork, chop seuy and egg fried rice. I bought the lemon sauce but made sweet and sour
Every dish was edible and some of it was rather nice. Its really the only creative thing i can do is cook
Colournoise - That burger in the first photo looks a bit undercooked.
Where’s the rest of it?
3 of us ate it. That was the portion sent back for the girl's partner.

I swear I heard something mooing as I took the first mouthful...
Record shelves for my daughter. Simple stained pine, grove routed in the top, t-slot routed on the back. Not a hard project but also involved building the worlds simplest router table (I'm too much of a coward to route small things hand held)

Nice. They look great 😊👌
Barely hanging together is my millenium falcon. Mounted it vertically using the parts from a horizontal kit. Take the feet off, bodge together the world's shonkiest mount and hang it on some mini meat hooks.
Also needed some parts added to stop the loose top bits from falling off!
I've also fitted a light to show the engines off, but it's not as good as I thought.
I haven't done this, but fully intend to when(and if 😳 ) I get the workshop finished.
As said, not something I've done, but i have done other marquetry- sand shading, fans etc, as well as usual veneering, but I place it in here as an inspiration to others here I know are just as capable.
The process looks simple enough, just very time consuming.
(Theres hundreds of such vids on you tube, and it always pains me when you see a maker with a handful of subscribers, compared to some with millions of subscribers who dont produce anything near as beautiful, but jump about on screen to a catchy tune. 😕
Its a good vid showing the process and pitfalls to avoid. Step by step. And its a good watch all the same if you're into this sort of thing.
If that pains you, wait til you find out there's people who make stuff and don't share it on YouTube at all! 😉
A circle jig for my palm router.
