I need new home insurance (building and contents) and ideally I would like this to include my bike (£3k+).

The property is unremarkable, as are the contents. The bike is the only remarkable item!

Any recommendations?

M&S, cover any single item to £4k, get premier cover and it's also covered against accidental damage 🙂

I agree, you can also add on "cover away from home" so if you are staying with a mate or get the bike pinched out of a car - you are also covered.

Good policy. I had 4 bikes stolen in one hit and they paid out - eventually!

Thanks Guys.

Can I just confirm - does the £4k "single item" cover definitely cover bikes? I have looked at a number of other policies, which specifically exclude bikes from their single item cover.

Thanks

Yep covers multiple single bikes up to £4K no exceptions except jewelery. I've lots of expensive road / MTB bikes 🙂

Every year when I get a new policy document, I ring them up to triple-check that my bikes are covered. They are. The staff also know that it's fairly unique among insurers too.
(they recently changed to AXA (I think) and I rang up again - just to be sure 🙂

They only thing I've claimed for so far was a pair of glasses (accidental damage) and it all went very smoothly.

Yup, M&S again.

Sent me a shiney new MacBook Pro in less than a week and as it was my first claim it didn't affect my NCB
