It's our anniversary this weekend and typical bloke that I am I've left it a bit late for organising a gift.

The good lady is very fond of her coffee. We currently use a moka pot thing. I'd like to buy her a nice coffee machine - not a Nespresso or any of the pod machines - we've tried them and they're minging.

Ideally one that's not too big, and if it is bean-to-cup that would be a big bonus.

Coffee connoisseurs to the rescue! 🙂

There are many many (many) threads on this already - Have a search.
For my tuppence worth, any delonghi bean-to-cup is a good choice.

You've already got a classic coffee machine with the moka pot. Maybe think about getting a really nice burr grinder and some high quality freshly roasted beans?

Excellent idea everyone! That's exactly what I shall do. Grinder will be needed if we later decide to go for a machine. Found some earlier threads suggesting it's best to keep the grinder and coffee machine separate, which makes sense Thanks!

Not if you *do* get a bean to cup....
