Riding up the Horseshoe Pass near Llangollen, everyone was looking up to the sky as a large white aircraft ]flew over.
It was big white, appeared to be double decker, a very distinctive rear end with Hercules type back and tail fins similar ish to the pic below. I was a bit short of breat so can't recall if it was prop or jet but think it was jet.
Usually when people think "a bit Hercules", it's a A400M. They do make a rather interesting/different noise as well.
However, if it was jet, rather than prop, perhaps a C17?
A400 is turboprop.
Perhaps a C-17 Globemaster?

The Airbus factory is in Broughton near the North Wales border so reckon that could be favourite.
Crafty edit CFH or am I losing my marbles?
