Once had a Sperm whale surface alongside us somewhere in the mid-Atlantic. Was sailing a 77ft maxi yacht at the time and the whale seemed to dwarf us!

I think a Blue Whale would have been another thing entirely!

Saw a Blue Whale once. At least the enviro dude on a ship I was 2nd Mate on said it was.

It was brown.

Disappoint.

I find it difficult to comprehend just how big these animals are - biggest animal to ever live on our planet - bigger than the biggest dinosaur (in mass at least i believe).

They were incredibly lucky!
