As a kid, we always seemed to watch BBC programs pretty much all the time, exceptions were Coronaton Street & later, The Bill

Now we hardly watch any ITV programmes. It's not conscious thing, just kinda happens.

For those of a certain age, it will come down to Saturday Mornings, which meant Swap Shop or Tiswas.

So which are you and have you changed since childhood?

With the exception of Harry Hill, ITV is utter utter drivel. Obsessed with z list celebrities, no thanks!!

I am and will always be happy to pay the license fee.

bbc [but footy is on at minute] apart from that cant name anything i watch on ITV no real comedies or documentaries. BBC even does low brow better than them with total wipeout. ITV is just celebrity stuff hosted by inoffensive geordie double act

I'm deffinately a BBC man, have been since childhood. I was actually quite disturbed when I discovered that my mum watches daybreak in the mornings!

I would estimate that I watch BBC 1, Five/FiveUSA, Channel 4/More4 in fairly equal measure, with a little bit of ITV. The only thing I think I watch on ITV is Law and Order UK at the moment and the news if I have missed it on BBC

Watching ITV is the televisual equivalent of reading the Sun. Apparently.

BBC 1HD,2,3,4, Radio 4,5,6 exclusively
Except ITV4 in July 8)

I was banned from watching ITV as a child and CITV mysteriously does not appear on our channel list for Freesat 😈

Blue Peter or Magpie?

My Grandad summed it up perfectly - " BBC is for gentlemen, ITV is for louts" 🙂

In order (ish)

1st: BBC1
Joint 2nd: Channel 4, BBC2, Channel 5 (NCIS and soon The Walking Dead)
A very distant 3rd: ITV

5th perhaps?

Probably only watch ITV for films, can't think of any regular shows of interest.

I hardly watched TV as a kid (was never in and my mum watched all the Soaps) and had never actually seen BBC2 but from the playground chat about what was on the night before, I went through a few years of thinking BBC2 was only in black and white (not sure where I got that bit from) and only showed saucy or perverse sexual content.. even in animal documentaries.. then a few years later it was upgraded to colour and called chanel 4 😉

still don't really watch much TV

I lived in a shared house with no telly for a while, the only thing I missed was newsnight and Bremner Bird and Fortune (the early series were good).. my life was much more productive....

I watch bbc and a bit of channel 4 but there is nothing that I watch religiously, never seen the appeal in soaps and all that daft hbo stuff like Lost is just horrendous

although living in a house with a load of lesbians and watching the L word was entertaining 😉

Of all the TV worth watching:

40% comes from BBC2
40% comes from Channel 4
20% comes from BBC1

(TV Burp is worth watching but statistically irrelevant.)

TV Burp is the only thing worth watching.
