[Closed] Weird page viewing on Windows 7 laptop

As I'm WFH at the moment I'm logging on via my work laptop to view the forum, it's running windows 7 and some version of IE that it's locked to.

When I open up the forum page the far LH side of the screen is hidden behind some kind of black side bar with the ST logo on it, any fixes?

Windows 10 and a browser that has been updated in the last 10 years.
