After playing a lot of 60 &70 stuff of late that I haven't touched for years I found most Floyd live stuff pretty deadly. A quick run through ebay and I found David Gilmour has a couple of great live albums out, Live In Gdansk and Live In Pompeii - a follow up to the 70's Floyd live album. On both he covers a lot of the classic stuff and I have to say that I find it better than the band releases. Hi playing in particular seems to have got even more Gilmourish.

Pompeii - great visuals, only 2 nights and only 2,600 people in each night at the first live public show there since AD79! The audience is standing where the last public live performers where, and they were gladiators.

Right, back to the great sounds of BBC coverage of tonights commons vote.

Here’s something I enjoyed today when it played randomly off my NAS

I use random play on my iTunes. Over 80,000 songs from 40years of music collecting and so much crap. But some epic stuff too..

Blimey, that takes me back.
What next? A closet Clayson and the Argonauts fan in our ranks? 🙂

I haven't been to anywhere near as many concerts as some of the expert music critics on here but I did see PF at Earls Court in 1994, The Division Bell tour.
Still to this day, It's one of the best events of any kind I've ever seen.
I'm only 62 though, so there's still time yet.

Saturday for me ..and it's one of my biggest regrets that I didn't take my mate ( Dave Bowman ..huge fan ) ..having more or less promised him the ticket ..my then missus who wasn't a fan decided that she would go ..simply because it meant a weekend in London .
He's not likely to read this but once again ..really sorry mate !

Both on Google play music.
It's great for stuff like that, which I'd be unlikely to buy, but contain some gems.

I was at the Division Bell Earls Court gig too, think it was the Saturday. It was a few wives ago. Fantastic gig I was blown away.

The real division bell is more irritating than musical. Heard it lots on the news this week.

I love a bit of Floyd. Coincidentally I've been listening to them quite a lot this week.
When I was 18yo apprentice my really cool foreman took me to see the Momentary Lapse of Reason tour in Manchester. It was amazing.
I found out last week ,he,the cool foreman, had taken his own life.
Rather upset me that has. 🙁
A bit dusty for me listening to this.

Blimey Eddie, by including my name along with Dez it kinda implies that I'm a music critic which is untrue (deleted the word 'snob' haha!).

Anyways, sorry if repeating myself (it's not an age thing) but have also seen Dave Gilmour and Roger Waters along with stalwart Clapton and other old geezers, a terrific performance where they were all clearly enjoying themselves. So, yep, can recognise and appreciate talent and innovation although may not always be to my taste!

Ha! You said you didn't like Floyd. Us fanboyz don't appreciate the hatez.

Er, I think that's what I mean. I'm off to ride my bike and think about it.
