Lots of large files to be shared - where can i upload too?
Dropbox. Does require recipients to have a dropbox account too. Depends how widely you want to share them, tbh.
Dropbox doesn't require recipients to have a Dropbox account.
You just put them in your public folder.
rapidshare.com
or yousendit.com is a good service if suitable.
2nd dropbox. Great for file sharing. Only you need an account if you just want the others to download it. Put stuff in your shared folder then right click on it to get a link that anyone can use. Free too. If you use the link below then we'll both get some extra free space

you're right - I've never looked before only ever gone to the site and as there's no 'browse' option in their without logging in assumed you couldn;t but the public link thing is quite good.
Only really use it for work so no public stuff on mine.
yes dropbox is good - have an iphone app (and I'm sure an android app too) so you can access your documents on the go to. which is nice
yousendit
Sendspace
wetransfer
dropbox
loads more, recieve them all the time in the music industry...
I find sendspace the most reliable at the moment, maybe not the fastest download speed, but all round reliable,
