I'm a sole trader graphic designer. Looking at setting up my first website as portfolio and contact area, possibly blog. Would like to be able to update easily as projects finish. Looking at using Wordpress templates, have found some decent ones that will do the job so no worries there. Don't know/want to do much programming.
Question is about hosting. Do I go for a large organisation like http://www.123-reg.co.uk . And get the benefits of cheap monthly rates and low cost domain name at about £2 per month?
Or do I go with a small organisation like http://www.wesh.co.uk and pay £4 per month, with very good service record?
I am a programmer who can't do graphics. I might need to contact you 🙂
As for large vs small, depends on how crucial your site is I suppose. Don't think it makes a lot of difference. You'll probably get less downtime with a bigger organisation I'd guess, but who cares if it's just a portfolio?
