Hello All
Looking to waste some time playing games on my Mac - I don't have a dedicated console and don't intend buying one.
Are there any decent web based games out there for first person shooters or war type things with big worlds to explore?
Any help appreciated.

Why web-based particularly? We used to joke "oh, you've got a Mac, have you got both games for it?" but that was a long old time ago. There's a decent amount of choice these days.
The first thing I'd suggest is signing up to the Humble Bundle mailing list. Then perhaps a Steam account.
