Was there a footie match on last night? My memory tells me something happened, but I am sure it wasn't football.

Robbie Savage is the hidden gem of football punditry. Honest, funny and insightful.

Plus its funny when he gets hit in the face by the ball:

Quote after the penalty: "That ref, he's from Guatemala. What's he reffed then?" and talking about diving "I used to do it, but looking at it from here, I'm ashamed of myself now". He actually made a snoring sound after one of the commentator's remarks 🙂

As much fun as it was to have New Zealand take the lead - the Italians have been tenacious, a little cynical & over exaggerating certain fouls they don't usually give up & will probably win in the last 10mins.

Corruptaly. The French are imploding. It would make the competition for me if they and the Italians both made early exits.

Its so good all the broadcasters having the same video feed. ITV on with 5 Live Commentary....

...and the fact the NZ manager is on £25k a year makes Fabio's £5m look a interesting investment.

That has to be rescinded if that was for not getting on the stretcher.

Great result. 5live's commentary just made my day. From worst ever WC to best ever in a few days. I wonder if NZ players even understand what happened.

That's about the worst sending off I've ever seen. The guy ran into him! And at which point did his face get hit. Grrr. Love football, but that's the side I ****ing hate. It won't happen, but they should just take the card from Kaka and give it straight to the big queen rolling about.

Well that was a long night, ****n WC timezone is killing me ! Started with the 11pm game and thought 'just watch the first half" got to bed at 5 to 5 this morning, for an hour and a half !

Amazing, All Whites played pretty well considering. A very dodgy gaol with Smeltzy offside but thats Karma for the offside against us in the last game. Italians played the ref well, snuffed out Fallon by making it look like he nailed them on every high ball, then the penalty was pretty soft really. However, I really thought Chris Woods made a big impact when he came on and the ball rolling agonisingly past the post had the crowd in my house (at 2am) wailing ! Bring on Paraguay - this is it, our chance to shine. I'm reallky quite chuffed that they have not been rolled over in this tournament. Mayeb we'll meet one of the sh1te teams in the next round like Honduras or England 😛

So - another shock result on the cards? It wouldn't surprise me to see a NKO win here - 1-0?

I've just been texting mates m_f. To be fair, my opinion is completely coloured by FIFA and France's cheating, but I haven't met anyone who's not enjoying their demise. I suppose we ARE in England 🙂

But I agree Darcy - they are getting exactly what they deserve.
