Just bought a 110 utility wagon, gonna be carting a bike/bikes around a lot and they can stand upright so what are my options for securing them? Anyone done this?

A. Strapping from the roof? What should I mount to the roof to secure the strapping from?

Or

B. Strapping from the van sides. Should I look at mounting some plywood to attach fittings to or direct to the inside of the bodywork?

Any insight or experiences would be appreciated!

first off - good choice

I bought a 110 utility last year, loving it so far

I take front wheel off, and use a bungy from front floor tie down upto a grab handle

Ye cheers, lookin forward to makin the most of it!

Ye that's a good shout, with the seats folded up against the drivers/passengers I can get a bike stood up in there with wheel on like a van so I might ditch one of the seats and use the bungy method you suggested.

I have a ply lining in the back of mine. I have then fastened an elasticated cargo net to the one side into which I can throw loose stuff like jackets and helmet. The best way I fine to fix the bile is on the same side as the net using a short bungy cord hooked into the net, through the bike frame and back to the net so that the whole lot is under elastic tension. It never moves or rattles. I can get a picture later

Hi, a picture would be great! I like the idea of a net for shoes/helmets etc. I plan to keep a full set of riding gear in there for that day you forget your shorts/helmet!

I've always fancied one of those bike racks where the front forks are locked in by a QR. You could set that up easily enough.

Screw a pedal cleat to the box on each side. Clip the bike in. Works.
