Anybody know how I get this watch back off?

It looks like it ought to unscrew, but what can I use as a bodge tool to grab those little indents?

It's exactly that, it unscrews. I've cracked them open in the past with a flatblade screwdriver and a small hammer.

Jewlers have a special key that fits the indents, turn it and the watch body comes free. Don't think I'd try and bodge a watch open, for sake of a new battery you could damage the back.

i used long nosed pliers held vertically, ends in 2 opposite indents - worked a treat

Thanks - had already tried needle nosed pliers without success. Found another set with smaller ends which fitted better and job done.

I just did it for £0 (already had the right cell in stock). Even including taking the picture, posting on here and finding the right tool it probably still took me less time than driving to the shop.
