[Closed] Washing machine on/off valve

Had the hot infill tap start to leak earlier this week. Stopped quickly by blanking with the washing machine itself and then bought a blanking cap.

How easy is it to replace the valve. Drain the hot water system then unscrew and fitting replacement looks simple enough but don't want to get 1/2 way through and then find myself stuck.

Won't be doing this till new year anyway. Monitoring it for now.

It is pretty much as simple as you describe yes.

Don't use any PTFE or Paste/Compound etc on the olive as some people may tell you to.
They don't need it. And it will cause problems rather than solve them.
