at this precise moment a nice bowl of warm apple studel, with some good quality vanilla ice cream

(I am a simple man with simple needs)

might make some scones at half time in the rugby, for cream tea at full time instead

My daughter asked me for a pet spider for her birthday, so I went to our local pet shop and they were £70!!! Balls to this, I thought, I can get one cheaper off the web.

A bath. Gotta be a first surely, to come in from a ride wanting only a nice long soak . . . no more wishing for more travel, prettier colours, grippier tyres, lighter parts . . . I'm done 😛

Oh and I want Wednesday to come please, or failing that just to get through the next couple of days at work 😕 .

I am after a digital voice recorder. There is an awesome looking Olympus but it is something like £250 so I will probably just go for the £70 one. I'll probably get a Kindle too, just the basic one as I can't see a need for 3G. Apart from that though I am trying to live my life as lightly as possible, not acquire too much stuff and I am very happy with all I have really. The other thing I really need is a new mobile. My current one is really quiet even at high volume and I miss calls and texts. I think I should be able to recycle it though. Not worried about getting cash for it, I just don't want to throw it away.

- Nikon SB700 flash. Might treat myself next weekend.

- Refurb my car alloys & get a new air-con compressor fitted.

- American Classic wheels

- New bar, stem, post for the Stumpjumper.

- A job that's substantially closer than 60 miles away.

Etc. 😕
