I'm sure some of you will recognise some of these places, they are photo's from the US Library of Congress archive and they look awesome

First flickr pic of Aber seafront is listed as between 1890-1900 but the monument on Pen Dinas (1852) isn`t there. It is in the second pic.

Good stuff (just when I was planning to get some work done before home)

Cool - though it's hurting my brain slightly seeing pictures from then in colour. Weird how your idea of the past is massively shaped by changes in photographic techniques.

Great pics, nice to see the area around Barmouth and Dolgellau as my grand/great grand parents would have seen it.

Great old photos. I'm guessing that some were hand tnted, but it may be that they were proper colour photos = I'm no expert on that kinf of stuff
