I've just been gifted a Smiths Deluxe watch of 1950's era.
It has been overhauled by the Antique watch Co, but I don't want to go in ham fisted. Especially the winding....like how often....do you wind until you get that resistance?

If it is an Auto IMO very safe at 10 turns, 20 probably top end - so go for 15.
Do not wait until "resistance".
Hand wound? 15 turns daily is my best guess.
Ideally find someone with a Timegrapher to pop it on and give you an instant idea of how well it is running.
