I have a van for sale (Transit) - when I bought it, I was charged VAT on it. It was for private use.
When I sell it, do I charge a price that would include VAT?
As im looking on autotrader etc, all the vans have a price, but its not always clear what the deal is with VAT.
Should I sell it as a private sale, but a slightly higher price than a comparable van that has VAT added?
Any thoughts?

Is it a company van? Are you VAT registered?
If not then you can't charge VAT.
