Any tips to help me see the screen?

Working from home as the cars in for a service. Its a lovely day, so sitting in the garden. Only problem is I can see F-all. Occasionally get a bit of work done when a cloud passes over.

Is there anything I can do to help this? Other than rigging up some sort of hood from cardboard boxes to shade the screen - what do people who use devices outdoors for work do?

Do you not have a brightness control?

I'm failing to see the problem there... is there no beer in the fridge?

How exactly are you attaching it to your handlebars?

Wait till nightfall.

I'm not sure as there is a sensible option other than throwing a blanket over yourself, it's down to the screen technology. This may actually be one of those computer threads where "buy a Mac" is a valid suggestion. (-:

Contrast is right up. Google basically says 'sit in teh shade' - its a bit chilly for that. Best online tip sa far - wear a dark shirt to reduce reflection 🙄

This seems a bit of a shortcoming with what is supposed to be portable equipment - all the tv ads show someone working away while sitting in an apple tree - so they've obviously thought that outdoors working may occur sometimes, even in the UK!

You can get sun-shades; we use them for production work.

Something from Hoodman or other brand.
