So having agreed in pricipal to buy a Golf TDI GT from a friends company I'm actually going to drive it this week sometime!
It's a 2.0ltr GT '07 car with about 75k on the clock with a FSH. It's recently had a new turbo fitted after the original failed. Highish mileage but the price is very good.
Is there anything specific I should look for when I get to have a drive?

Had problems with the DPF on mine (GT 170). I think that recent software updates have fixed it, although there's quite a bit on various vw forums about it - have a look at uk-mkivs.net.
Mine ended up having replacement camshafts and head gasket, although I think thats an exception rather than the norm!
Cheers guys. Will have alook at that site and see what I can find. Luckily it's the 140 which I'm fairly positive does not have the DPF.
I have an 07 GTi petrol - it has been faultless.....now for sale though !!!
