Any tips?
YouTube is expecting a video file e.g mp4.
I tried putting the mp3 file through a converter to convert it to mp4 but it didn't like it.
I see there are various online converters, but they look naff or put a watermark on

Use Windows Movie Maker.
Add whatever photo you like, then add the audio. You will have to adjust the duration of the photo to match the audio.
