I bought the Amazon Fire Tablet on the day it was launched. It seems to be at the end of its life. Programs take an age to load, freeze and close randomly. Browsing is tedious, despite a fibre broadband connection at home.
So as Santa is on his way it would seem to be a good time to upgrade to something faster and newer. So if we stay sub £200 whats best?

I'm getting an Nvidia Shield at Christmas.
Have you tried a factory reset on the one you have?

There have been several versions of Fire tablet, worth checking which one you have actually got. A new one may be an upgrade.
Or try installing a different version of Android. It might be better without all of the Amazon rubbish.
