Have a really nice solid oak table and sideboard for about a year now, I have a feeling I need to oil it or something to keep it from splitting and keep it looking good.
Is tung oil the fella to use, or should I be using something else? I just want a nice matt finish, really don't want it a different colour or varnished or anything. And anything water based would be better for me but not essential.
