5' 3" (1.58m) and 8 stone 9 lbs (57kg). BMI 22

Just right according to the nurse that did my health check - though she did say my cholesterol is slightly raised.

5'9" and 11st.

People tell me I'm skinny but I think that says more about what most folks perception of the 'norm' for a 45 year old is these days ie 'a bit rounded'.

5'10 about 12.5stone, could probably lose an inch of my waist, but I wouldn't call myself fat by any strech of the imagination...

5'10, just under 14 stone. I'm not fat, but I would, ideally, like to be a stone at least lighter. Hence why I've joined the Fat Club.

Weight doesn't mean a lot, mirror is what counts.
If I had to choose if I was fat or thin I'd say fat.
No, thin.
No, definitely not thin, must be fat then 🙁

BBC - Many ignorant on 'waist fat' risk - see the link at the bottom of this reply

BMI of 24.8
I'm 5:10:5

Carrying 9lbs too much.
It'll come off by the end of August though.
This is the link you need to view:

"It is the weight around your belly which really does the harm.

"A lot of these things take a while to get into people's heads especially as there has been so much focus on weight and body mass index. "

An obese 5'8" & 15.5 stone.
It's coming off, albeit slowly.
Energetic young children being the driving force.
Happiest at 12.5 stone (but that was a while ago).

I am ~93.5kg and 1.81m tall.

Yup, I'm on the bloater side of things.... hence also why joined Fatclub again this year.

In my own defence I will never be a waif as even when I was a mere slip of a lad (~73kg) I had a 32" waist and a 42" chest which made buying my first suit awkward.

6ft1 or 186cm. 100kg at beginning of Jan and 96kg now from cutting
out junk food and more riding. Target: 77kg before summer.

I do weight train a lot and lifting 80kg on bicep curls and bench pressing 120kg but there is a lot of excess waist fat to get rid of and I have been injured with dodgy knee but let myself go somehow!

Why diet? me- self pride and my GF was not impressed for letting myself go around the waist.

We love each other no matter what so I thought but if I had a choice I would prefer her slim than 200kg (she's 45kg) cannot move-yes it's wrong but I'm truthful and I'd rather be healthy myself and being so vain- look good in lycra or naked.

Do I care what others think? no but I do care what I think and my GF's opinion which could be argued that she should find my fatty attactive too. Well she prefers me slim and so do I.

What do I think of other fatties or skinnies? I don't judge what they look like as long as their character is fine.

Clothes are easier to buy, hills easier to climb/ride and my Dad now has diabetes (he's slim too) so my risk is increased, so more reasons to stay in shape.

Maybe my fault but I notice people do you treat you different when you look in shape.

Whatever makes you happy.

The first day of summer is the 22nd June.
You have 42lbs to shift in that time.
5 months, so just short of 10lbs a month from now.
That's a tall order.

LeeW. That'd still make you clinically fat according to the NHS BMI charts.

Yep! losing 4kg a month is easy for me but I'm not patient. With exercise I can boost it to 5kg a month but cannot cheat and yes it will be hell and need losts of patience.

Thanks for the wake up call!

I shall take a before an after pic except I'm hairy-off to boots for Veet hair remover!

5'10" and 10st 2. Currently a couple of pounds overweight compared to "race weight" (if I raced). Wouldn't call myself skinny, although other people reckon I am. Like food to much to be properly fit/skinny.

When I'm in shape I've got a 32" waist and 50" chest. Which will be 8 weeks...

My suits have to be tailored.

5'4" 9st 10lbs

You asked how we feel about the way we look, well, the doctor says I'm about the right weight, but I would like to be lighter, I feel a bit lumpy.

The menopause is rearranging where my fat deposits are and the way I deal with calories. It's not a major issue, but it doesn't help.

Anyway, I'm doing lots of long events this year and have already started training - so I am confident some weight will go.

Having said that, I can look in the mirror and think "Yeah, you're ok".

Age plays it part too.
My body has seen changes at 19, 29 and 38. I'm now going on 46. The last change has not been for the better.
Too much time in front of a pc has not helped.
I used to eat whatever I liked, exercised with long walks and weighed 2 stones less - but now - well - just look at the number of replies to this one post! 😥
9lbs will be lost by 22 August though.

6ft3ins - 12 1/2 stone. 30. Slim. Until I was about 26ish, I was more like 10 1/2 stone. Running jokes were being a Airfix test pilot in my spare time and having to run around in the shower to get wet. Would mind rounding up to 13stone, but have to be in muscle, quite happy with my waistline at the moment.

Hieght - 165 cm (approx 5' 5")
Weight - 78kg
Waist - 91cm (chest 100)
Waist to hip ratio .96

looking at everbody else on here I should be about 6ft tall - which oddly is what a doctor told I would be when I grew up

almost 5'5" and just under 9 stone.

5' 8" tall.

Weight fluctuates a couple of pounds either side of 10 stone depending on how fit I am. Pretty unfit at the moment so have turned into a lardy bastard (even if I still have to run around in the shower to get wet).
