[Closed] Trenitalia/Eurostar italia - do I NEED to book tickets in advance?

I know I need to reserve a seat on thr eurostar italy and intercity trains but can i do that at a ticket office on the day of travel?

Trying to book on-line but trenitalia website is doing my head in!!

I never have for Trenitalia but never used eurostar. Ticket machines on the platform which take credit cards and give you an English menu. But I've only used them twice. Where are you going to/from?

I don’t think you need to book them in advance as you can buy them in the stations on the day (well, you could at Rome and Naples when I was there recently) but they are cheaper if you do book in advance. It also means that you can pick you seats.

If you do figure out the TrenItalia website don’t be worried if you don’t have a ticket, the code on the text message they send is all you need.

bergamo to venice to como to bergamo. next week.

I'm tempted just to get them when we are there. websites are not working!!
