God damnit! ๐ณ Time to brush up on French history!
What I meant was, is that you appeared to be saying that there was initially more evidence for the attack being caused by right-wing extremists. I dispute that.
I just read what the press reported concerning what the french authorities said, eg :
French Prosecutor: Killer at Jewish School May be Linked to Neo-Nazi Group
Killer may be linked to neo-nazi group seems perfectly reasonable to me, why wouldn't be - do neo-nazis like Muslims and Jews or something ?
I can't see this as some kind of plan because of 'media fear of accusing certain groups within our society' as the OP claimed. It was always fairly certain that the killer would eventually get caught and his motives revealed. Or was not catching him part of this elaborate plan not to upset "certain groups within our society" eh ?
I agree with you on that but the French authorities also revealed they were investigating Islamic based terrorism leads. Intelligence already knew of these guys so I'm assuming they were tracking down all known Islamists crossing them off the list. I believe though that they zoned in on him after a motorcyle mechanic reported him.

Killers may be linked to Islamist groups, do they like Western soldiers and Jews? Remember these soldiers at least the first, were not killed because they were Muslims. Even if they were do Islamists like western Muslim soldiers? No they are traitors to them.
As you said though the French authorities were not engaging in some elaborate plan, I just take issue with the fact that some papers seemed to take sides. Both right wing and Islamist angles were followed out of routine policy as they were both highly likely.
You do realise that the Algemeiner is "Labeled the fastest growing Jewish newspaper in America" according to its own blurb. Selective reporting in biased newspaper for Jewish Americans. Surprised?
I initially thought it might be the English Language version of the highly respected Frankfurter ALLgemeiner Zeitung but it's not.
A "jhihadist" now according to TF1. Two trips to training camps in Afghanistan and ****stan and 15 convictions for crimes in France. He was being surveilled but not closely enough apparently.
If you want an accurate account in English then the Daily Mailis remarkably close to what is being reported as I type on TF1.
I didn't know where to look on the site as the only regional options are "Home" and "US". Nothing on home so I clicked US and there it was.
