Picked up a cheap DVD from tesco or something a while ago for the kids to watch some real cartoons. Turns out it's the first episodes, fantastic! I don't think I ever saw them so didn't know how they ended up on that planet.

Have you watched any of the rebooted series. Whole thing was on YouTube for a while.
It wasn't actually too bad. Tho the new Cheetarah wasn't nearly hot enough.

Bandai have released some new toys modelled on the original cartoon characters but much more detailed/posable than the old toys. Can't have sold too well though as they were knocking them out cheap at TK Maxx. I almost bought a Lion-O for nostalgia value but thought "what the hell would i do with it?" so stopped myself! Wish I had now though, it was cool.

I used to hate the "moral" at the end of each episode. Apparently quite a few American cartoons and kids shows still have that kind of thing, but it gets cut out for the European market.

The children of the 60's don't know what they are missing. The 80's were where it was at!

that's what made the classic 80s cartoons what they were! And then all the gang would stand around laughing at snarf/orco/whoever (basically just 2 frames of animation alternated for about 5 seconds!)

Both the original Thundercats series and the recent remake have been added to LoveFilm instant, as have the amazing 90s Warner bros Batman animated series.
