Just been sorting through some photographs from earlier in the year, and found these shots of our two. Kudos to anyone who can spot where they were taken 😆

Not Loch Earn, but it is Scotland

That Lurcher in the top picture is a real heart melter - I'd guess it's gotten them a lot of sly treats over the years 🙂

And staring out the cat...

Also all in Scotland.

Quick question:
Hypothesising that a mini-Flying Ox might make an appearance sometime soon, should we be looking at getting a dog before or after said crotchfruit arrives? In terms of the behaviour of the dog, anyway. Or doesn't it matter?
And how does the STW dog-owning collective feel about the Viszla as a trail hound/family mutt?

@Ox

Would guess 'after' for the behaviour of the dog... it will come in at the lower end of the ladder. If you have the dog first then you need to put some work in to make sure the dog realises that has to drop below below mini ox in the pecking order. Can be difficult with some.

Also on the time front... you have to give time to mini, so wait and see if you have enough left over for a hound, especially in the first few months.

Cheers, flowerpower. Thought as much. Mrs Flying Ox is getting all ahead of herself about going from backpacking to having 2.4 kids & a dog overnight.

@ sofaking

A kelpie, same as your fella 🙂 (nice photos by the way)

We lost our 16yr old black / tan kelpie cross just before Christmas and were chuffed to find a farm litter (5 months old) not far away. Needless to say we were straight over and the christmas puppy was collected...

Lovely dogs (but I'm a wee bit biased 😀 )

Only rare action shot I've got is this

Nice to see lots of dogs in good condition enjoying life to the max!

My two are currently staging an Occupy protest on my side of the bed - not sure what they're protesting about, but they're dug in and not for moving!

Mattie (brown) and Echo (black), New Mexico labradoodles--the one of Echo alone is just back from the groomers and she wasn't too pleased with the fluffed up coat

Those Kelpies are lovely looking dogs! I've been considering adding a Blue Merle Collie to our pack, but you've got me thinking about branching out 🙂

Blue Merles are lovely looking dogs as well though - wonder if the missus would let me have 4 dogs in the house?

Mrs Busydog continually tries to convince me we need at least one more---this coming from the person who doesn't walk the 2 we have at 6AM, groom them, feed them, etc. If we lived in the country, I would have more, but too confining in the city.

If our labradoodles are any indicator from their lab half, I'd agree.
We haven't had much trouble with them in the house as we have enough chew toys to start a pet store (which I always manage to step on barefooted in the dark)---but outside, they find every leaf, stick, twig, piece of paper, no matter how small and are chewing it.

Don't know who sleeps more, the cat or the dog 🙂 mind you, he needs all the beauty sleep he can get, he's at a championship dog show on Thursday.

Great picture--Labs are so very smart and so personable. My labradoodles seem to have an internal clock---at 5PM every weekday they both come into my office barking for the evening walk and every Sunday morning, as soon as we eat, they are both out at the truck, barking for ride up for the Sunday hike in the mountains.
