Increasingly we're seeing forum posts containing a quote from an earlier post with the word 'this' after it. It's bloody annoying. Please stop it. I know what it means but it's just a wee bit shite.
Also, the use of the word 'that' by the no-doubt hip and trendy. For example, 'The embarrassing feeling you get when you've farted in a lift and someone else gets in. That.'
And I'm not even going to get started on people asking 'can I get...' in shops and stuff.
^^This^^
This ^^
EDIT ^^That
But not that.
And I'm not even going to get started on people asking 'can I get...' in shops and stuff.

I'd do anything for love.

Yep

Terrahawk's todo list from earlier today:
1. Sort out 'this' and 'that' badness on STW.
2. Fix Israel/Iran nuclear problem.
3. Restart Greek economy.
4. Find remedy for farting in lifts.
well I've done a quarter of my jobs for today - how about you?
OH JUST STOP THE PETTY SUBJECTIVE WHINING ABOUT WORDS.
MTFU. THAT.
ooooh. Block capitals.
/gnashes teeth/
So, it has all come to THIS!!!!
their will always be tho'se who just dont care how there spoken or written words make them look dim in the eyes of they're friends/ colleagues / associates. And stuff.
On the other hand "and stuff" really gets my goat!
That - and stuff. Covers it all. 😉
ain't nothing but a g thing, baby.
This thread was only ever going one way and it hasn't disappointed. Good work
chuckle. Well done Pete 🙂
Are we still allowed "that" as a prefix when referring to major capitals (ie: "that London") or is that off the menu as well?
Bit worried about losing that one...it would be like saying "Vienna" without saying "Ahhh...Vienna" afterwards....
Jimification,
^^That^^ means nothing to me.
+1
Damn, beaten to it.
^^That^^ means nothing to me.

i hate all those Coronation Street style phrases such as "Give over!" or "Any road...". WTF do they even mean?
Bah - beaten to it by Stoner. Personally I prefer t'other
Horatio, whatevs.
'Give over' and 'Any road' both mean that no one involved in the production of Corrie has actually spoken to a Mancunian since t'last Preston Guild.
I think that the thing Meat Loaf wouldn't do for love was tea bagging.
You're thinking of Una Stubbs.
You're thinking of Una Stubbs
Constantly 😳
Meatloaf wouldn't do Una Stubbs?
I wouldn't have thought he could affort to be picky, tbh.
You're thinking of Una Stubbs.

Is it too late to say I'm sorry?
