Increasingly we're seeing forum posts containing a quote from an earlier post with the word 'this' after it. It's bloody annoying. Please stop it. I know what it means but it's just a wee bit shite.

Also, the use of the word 'that' by the no-doubt hip and trendy. For example, 'The embarrassing feeling you get when you've farted in a lift and someone else gets in. That.'

And I'm not even going to get started on people asking 'can I get...' in shops and stuff.

Terrahawk's todo list from earlier today:

1. Sort out 'this' and 'that' badness on STW.
2. Fix Israel/Iran nuclear problem.
3. Restart Greek economy.
4. Find remedy for farting in lifts.

their will always be tho'se who just dont care how there spoken or written words make them look dim in the eyes of they're friends/ colleagues / associates. And stuff.

On the other hand "and stuff" really gets my goat!

That - and stuff. Covers it all. 😉

Are we still allowed "that" as a prefix when referring to major capitals (ie: "that London") or is that off the menu as well?

Bit worried about losing that one...it would be like saying "Vienna" without saying "Ahhh...Vienna" afterwards....

'Give over' and 'Any road' both mean that no one involved in the production of Corrie has actually spoken to a Mancunian since t'last Preston Guild.
