I seem to remember an ex racing driver was promoting them if they are the compresses air ones. Same basic problem with any stored energy vehicle though, how is the stored energy created. Batteries get charged from power stations and air gets compressed by ...

Good for around towns though as there is zero local pollution.

There was one I read about a while back where a big gyroscope like wheel was mounted under the chassis of a bus and spun up to a really high speed. The energy from this was enought to drive the bus and every time it stopped at a bus stop the wheel thing was speeded up again. I think Chrysler were going to try something similar with a race car but no-one wanted to risk crashing a car with a big gyroscope in it spinning at 50,000rpm.

Nothing new about compressed air power. Limited range and speed, uses long tailpipe theory - pointless.

uses long tailpipe theory

I think the compressed air is stored int he car, not pumped up the exhaust pipes.
