Paying a visit to Hebden Bridge today (not with the bike). My g/f isn't really an 'outdoors' kind of person so are there any recommendations of things to do in hebden bridge that don't involve mtbing, walking, climbing etc?

Decent pubs, restaurants worth a visit?

The cinema's ok.

Spirals sells the same Fairtrade stuff from the same huge warehouse that supplies all the other Fairtrade shops scattered about the country.

Lots of nice caffs, couple of nice pubs, good library, some genuinely nice independant shops about though:
The book shops are all interesting and the Calder Gallery's worth a look round. CD Sid's now has a coffee shop inside, his music collection is smaller but he can order stuff in.

Tourist info place is actually quite good.

If she likes poking round old churches, Heptonstall's ace.
Great caff and a nice pub too.

Walk up to heptonstall is fun. Coming down after a few beers in the pub even better.
white lion in hebden bridge does nice food and decent beer. Moyles does posh good and has a good range of ales as well. Not sure if moyles is open yet after the summer floods.

The Thai is great. By the marina next to the cinema.
New pub Old Gate is nice. Good selection of very nice beer.
Cycle Recycle and the Alternative Tech centre on the canal bank.
Go watch the kids on scooters at the skate park.
Get great meat from Maskills.
Best chippy is Crown Fisheries.
Mooch is nice.
Dynamite and Ruby Shoesday and makepiece go down nicely.
Awesome interior design at Snug and Radiance.
And Blazing Saddles of course.
