Hope there's a happy ending (s****) for somebody with a missing bike.

The problem where I live is that bicycle thefts are recorded on the Police computer whereas found bikes are simply logged in a big old-fashioned ledger at the Cop Shop so there's no hope of found bikes being reunited with their owners.

Our local police station have an 'open day' every year where they invite people who've lost bikes to view their stock of un-traced, suspected stolen bikes and parts before they auction them off
