I was just watching the Go Pro race runs from the DH WC. They could probably get pretty close with a next gen sim game now on graphics, physics, control, conditions, upgrades/tuning, and global competition over the real tracks.
Alternatively you can MTFU and go ride DH...

Well, that's definitely a step up graphics wise from Downhill Domination and Mountain Bike Adrenalin, but it still seems predominantly smooth with extreme air to make up for a lack of general trail features and obstacles. It should be possible now to see rocks, roots, ruts, twist between trees, and for the trail conditions and thus ride feel to vary with realistic physics and tuning options. That example looks like a fun work in progress though, but unfortunately I don't have a Windows machine.
