Never mind that! I want a Toyota Land Cruiser with an anti-aircraft gun crudely welded to the back of it. They look like a right laugh

they seem a little sparse on the ground and very ill equiped to be a Real "overthrowing a millitary government" force, dont ya think?
all the "action" seems to be coming from Nato jets and helicopters!
speaking of Nato, i wonder what their going to do with that 144 tons of Lybian gold they just looted?

Stinks IMO

"they seem a little sparse on the ground"

are you in Tripoli then?

The ones I'm seeing on telly seem quite well armed.

rewind back 25 years and the west was supporting 'rebels' led by Bin Laden in much the same way as Libya today! 🙁

Not seen that, how did they do it without troops on the ground?

"they seem a little sparse on the ground"

Well certainly the pro-rebel crowds celebrating in Green Square have appeared to be a little sparse, considering that Tripoli has a population of 2 million, and bearing in mind that previous pro-Gaddafi rallies at Green Square seemed to be much bigger.

Also a US official admitted today that troops from Qatar had been used in the storming of Gaddafi's compound, plus also "advisers" from Britain, France and Italy. If the rebels needed help from a tiny feudal kingdom ruled by an absolute monarch to take Gaddafi's compound in Tripoli, then it suggests that they may be lacking manpower. And that the mass defections from the Libya army which the rebels claimed had occurred, never happened.

It's all particularly ironic that the rebels have had to rely on Qatari special forces, after they claimed that Gaddafi could no longer rely on the Libyan army and was instead using mercenaries.

Whatever the rights and wrongs of this conflict, it's pretty clear that the rebels have been consistently lying through their teeth, and that they don't enjoy the huge overwhelming support which our official propaganda tells us they enjoy.

They do like their football shirts.

They thought about clothing with technical or natural wicking abilities, but like STWers they prefer looser cut of footie tops.
