If only we were all vegan, that would solve it.

There could be a lot of tall well built people, unlikely but you never know.

I'm not Vegan, and I weigh 73 odd kg, maybe if most of you weren't middle aged that would solve it 😉

Maybe if everyone is 4ft tall. The poll takes no account of height.

Edit: To slow

You'd need to be pretty tall for 90kg to be a "desirable" weight.

As Cupra says, no idea of peoples height, wins the most stupid pointless poll on STW comp. I'm 5'10" and 82kgs BTW

Quite. I'd rather have a bit of extra cuddly warmth than be that ill-looking scrawny bag of bones that kept flying past us at SITS 😀

i'll stop when you help me with bike stuff yeti 😀

we all know this is an excuse for him to discuss the benefits of being a vegan and then post pictures of some vegan sports people, possibly even himself and his buddies in the 'vegan body building and random object lifting inside a small schools PE hall competition' if we're lucky.

i'd report it if it wasnt so delightfully quaint

31 years old

9% body fat.

Weight doesn't tell you everything. Or indeed anything in isolation.

Okay, I won't report you just yet.

I was thinking the thread had already gotten quite long without a picture of a vegan. Strangely most of them look a little out of shape, sort of flabby if you know what I mean.

To balance up my argument, here's a picture of me from lunchtime...

Theres nothing wrong with being fat, but it does ruin the image of mountain biking. So if you want to be fat, dont be a mountain biker.

I'm a road biker too, and I wear lycra, so what?

I also like cake, smoke cigars and drive too fast. I'm not convinced that there are many activities that I'm not ruining the image of. I enjoy it all the same

That's an awfully large waist measurement for only 45kg
did you make sure you had both feet on the scales?

I'm 6'5" but ain't a 'fattie' so don't jump to conclusions.

Vegans will be too weak to move the mouse to click on their weight anyway.

I've always believed that round shapes are more aerodynamic 😀

Besides, I can get up the steepest hills with the best of them and when it comes to going downhill I can use gravity to my advantage.

Currently 27% are over 90kg

A quick Google suggests that about a quarter of the male population is over 90kg, so this isn't entirely surprising.

Of course most STWs are fatties, it comes with being middle aged and middle class. (Actually have you noticed? With wealthy people the husband is usually fat and the wife skinny, with poor people the man is usually a beanpole and the woman is a fatty?)

This comes from the guy who has 'broken 4 frames in 13 months', a thread in which he declares

'I'm 95kg

I'm also 95kg, thus far, I have managed to not inflict breakage on my frame.... I think is down to my Jaycore approach to my Blobbycore riding style....

Right, where did I put that family bag of crisps..... 🙂

Why...?

Not sure, probably because i've never owned a set of scales, nor does my gf, or parents growing up. Are they of real use? Surely if you're losing weight you can see it coming off? Dunno...

Every time I go to the docs these days I seem to have to be weighed, have my belly circumference measured and my beer consumption queried, they don't seem particularly bothered about height for some reason

Because your height isn't going to change now you're all grown up?

I had to rush past that last post on my work browser, I'm a fattie too!

Recent comment from the nurse carrying out a cholesterol check: "Well for the amount of riding you do it's suprising you carry so much weight." My reply was "Well I eat a lot of cake too".

My cholesterol was fine by the way, thanks for your concern 🙂

I'd guess that's because measuring peoples heights doesn't net the practice a juicy payment when they meet a certain target?

I guess - but I would have thought that my height would have been a prerequisite to working out whether or not I was over or under some graph plot somewhere

Just over 91 kgs. Only about average height. Maybe a few extra lbs of fat but certainly not a fatties. I'm also a nice enough person to wait for my riding buddies at the top and bottom of each and every hill.

Thanks for the interest but i love myself far too much to love anyone else too.
My point was more that weight doesn't make someone 'fat' or 'slow' but i guess i did put across in a 'i love myself' kinda way. To be fair i bloody do. If you don't love yourself how can you expect someone else to?
