Wrong number 1. She hates cyclists and tries to stir up anti-cyclist feeling.
Wrong number 2. She jumps a red light and gets nicked.

Two wrongs certainly do appear to make a right in this case.

What the link doesn't mention is that Kate Hoey actually publicly backed a "Stop at Red" campaign aimed at cyclists, which makes it even more ironic.

I get the irony, I just don't see what's wrong with encouraging cyclists to stop at red lights.

Anonymouse, nothing wrong with "encouraging cyclists to stop at red lights" but penning some diatribe berating cyclists with

How many times have you seen a cyclist deliberately riding in the middle of the road, preventing any car passing and then screaming abuse at the poor driver who dares to try?
and
Lycra louts don't just break the law; they often do so in an aggressive and threatening manner.
when
A Traffic Note ... in London found that 16 per cent ignored traffic signals โ€“ but 84 per cent obeyed them.*
is not on, it's attempting to demonise cyclists and is worthy of a bit of retributional karma IMO ๐Ÿ™‚

*YMMV in other areas

Fair enough, if those quotes are from her she does sound to have been a bit vindictive.

How many cyclists are fined for jumping red lights ?

When will the Government due something about the urban fox population which is rising totally unchecked ? It won't be long before a child is killed by an urban fox.

It's just a matter of time before someone charging through red traffic lights on a horse chasing a fox kills a child.

And I'll blame Kate Hoey
