Popped in there for the first time in the six years I’ve been visiting here. Why do people put WTD as the first thing in the subject field? It’s the wanted forum.
It has amused me and I don’t know why.
No idea but the For Sale forum has similar issues.
I add it when searching online if I'm after something in particular. I figure if I do then there's a reasonable chance others might.

That could have been phrased better. OK, how about: if I'm searching online for something specific to buy second hand I'll often add 'FS' into the search term. It does tend to filter for sale posts, albeit a lot of them are on STW.
