It is middle_OAB's birthday this weekend. He has saved hard to buy a laptop, we're adding in the last little bit.
Two weeks ago I place an order with Dell Outlet. A problem of delivery address vs card address, four phone calls to 'customer service', and I was advised to just place another order and ignore first order.
Second order placed on Friday 3rd, with delivery due on Wednesday 7th. Not yet left warehouse, now showing dispatch on 17th. 'Customer service' advise they have had things stolen from warehouse and cannot find one to send me - but that it is too late to cancel the order and so they have taken payment and will send it anyway, but not sure when or even if.
Gaaaargh.

Go hard at them on twitter/phones etc.
They will be able to do something for you given the level of muckupery they've displayed.

To buy a replacement? Loads of decent companies, like Amazon/Saveonlaptops.com can deliver for tomorrow.

There's l;ots of other sellers of Dell Outlet stuff, with the same warranties with Dell.
Hit up one from Ebay with good feedback and cancel your Dell order.

Anyway, Matt. Don't feel you have to go PCWorld. Plenty of decent online retailers can do Sat delivery.
