They sell direct?

Most manufacturers don't.

hmm did London really need all the more officespace hotelspace and s****y 20 apts at 10million+ or however much it cost...

plus no mention of the environmental impact

1.6bn - most of it from Qatar, how about saving the 1.6bn loan and bringing down the price of oil 😉

I enjoyed it, walked past the darn thing everyday, can be chaotic, there must of been some civilian injuries? LB station is so much better though. I found the music mildly irritating then realised is was a Discovery style US drama/doc, with extra false jeopardy, I mean it can't of been the first time humans have built a tall building in wind?

I get a great view of it on my ride into the City, quite something. I predict the bar at the Shangrila hotel 40 floors up is going to be just the spot for a cocktail.

Moan moan moan. Youre worried about the environment AND you want cheaper oil? Make your mind up Bono.

The loan will bring down the price of oil - they will be making money off it!

I flew out of Heathrow the other day. It was very foggy and as we climbed out of the fog bank only the Shard and Canary Wharf was visible. Surreal and magical.

I think it looks cool in a futuristic megapolis kind of way. Like the giant tower that the baddie lives in in Half Life 2.

It also reflects the morning sun quite powerfully I found.

The docu was crap tho, amazed that was even trailed never mind put on prime time - was more in the style of a 2am discovery science slot.

They told us naff all about the actual design.. the only interesting bits were the snippets of business info. I'd have been really interested in hearing about the struggles to make it a financially feasible project.

The docu had the potential to be a lot more interesting/revealing I thought, poor effort from C4.

I was surprised at the amount fo space the concrete core took up, particulalrly at high levels.

I think it looks great.

like I said it was made with Discovery so probably aimed at the US or Sky market. I'd wait for BBC Four to do a decent programme on it.

cheaper oil, cheaper fuel, cheaper business costs, cheaper shipping, cheaper bikes, less oil.
