Everyone in the house is a snotty wreck except me. I'm feeling great!

Greeted this morning by coughing 3 year old, sneezed on by the 8 month poo machine and the wife wants to give me a kiss because it's our wedding anniversary.

Get off you horrible lot!

Short of not returning home, is there anything that can be done?

at the first sign of succumbing, dose up with remedy and get out on a great big bike ride.

Get everybody in the family to wash their hands especially when coming in from outdoors. Wash yours often. Avoid rubbing your eyes and picking your nose. At the first sign of a sore throat gargle three times a day with Corsodyl and take one zinc tablet a day; you might just fight it off.

You catch ten colds a year but only two or three go on to become full-blown infections. Flu is not the same as a cold, if you get flu you will be in bed for several days feeling you are dying. You can take remdies for a cold and it will be gone in a week or leave it to run its course and it will be gone in seven days.

Set up isolation bubble in the mancave, with a quarantine shower section at its entrance. 😉

I am sure that as a student I managed to cure a cold with massive quantities of vodka. Think the virus just couldn't stand the elevated alcohol levels. The subsequent hangover was possibly worse though...

DAMN IT!! Too late, started sneezing and have a sore throat.

I'm almost sure a bacon bap will sort this right out.

😆

once as a student I had a horrible cold, went out anyway, boshed a pill and a dozen cans of lager and felt completely cured the next day (or the day after that, more likely)

this informed my health and wellbeing strategy for at least a year before I was forced to give up and declare that it must just have been a coincidence 😉
